The Birdtail Sioux Health Centre is committed to providing comprehensive health and community-based programming that promotes the holistic well-being of all Birdtail Sioux First Nation members. Our dedicated team delivers essential services designed to foster physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health within our community. Since the opening of our modern facility in 2009, we have continued to expand our offerings to meet the evolving needs of our Nation.

Key Responsibilities and Functions

Promoting and delivering essential health services and community programs for all ages.

  • Direct Healthcare Service Delivery: Providing a range of health services directly to Band members within the community.
  • Health Promotion & Disease Prevention: Implementing initiatives and programs focused on preventing illness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and managing chronic conditions.
  • Community-Based Program Development: Developing and delivering specialized programs that address specific community health needs, including substance abuse prevention and family support.
  • Coordination of Care: Facilitating access to external medical services and ensuring seamless coordination of care, including medical transportation.
  • Maternal & Child Health Support: Focusing on the health and well-being of mothers, infants, and young children through dedicated programs.
  • Health Education & Awareness: Offering educational resources and campaigns to increase health literacy and empower individuals to make informed health decisions.
